Xiaomi surpasses Apple in Italy: 3° brand of the smartphone market
Xiaomi is growing in a smartphone market in crisis: this is confirmed at european level by the report released last week by Strategy Analytics which you can add additional details to the Italian market. In Western Europe, the chinese manufacturer is fourth after Samsung, Apple and Huawei, in Italy, instead, is on the podium by overcoming the Apple, and placing it at third place behind Samsung and Huawei. And' what emerges from data released by Canalys on the companies that have sold the most smartphones in Italy.
The data relating to the first quarter of 2020 include: (note: the first percentage refers to the share of the Italian market for the sold units, the second to the variation with respect to Q1 2019):
The marked annual growth of Xiaomi, and the parallel decline in sales of smartphones, Apple has allowed the first to take the upper hand on the second. In general, the report gives a minus sign even Samsung is at the top of the ranking, and Huawei, another chinese brand, Oppo, also strong growth in Italy, it leads to the shelter of the house of Cupertino, with a market share of less than one percentage point.
