Wolverine: a petition to make Danny DeVito as the protagonist

Created by Roy Thomas, Len Wein and John Romita Sr., Wolverine has debuted in the comics in The Incredible Hulk #180 before I have a more important role in issue #181. Also known as Logan/Weapon X, Wolverine has then crossed the paths with the X-Men, and sometimes with the Avengers. Developed further by names like Chris Claremont, John Byrne and Frank Miller, Wolverine became one of the most long-lasting and incredibly popular Marvel Comics. As such, it has been adapted several times both in animation and in live-action.

On the big screen, Wolverine was played by Hugh Jackman since X-Men in 2000; Jackman at the end, he played the character for over a decade, ending with the much-loved Logan. Despite numerous attempts (Ryan Reynolds) to induce Jackman to work with x-men, Wolverine, " Jackman insists that he has done with this role. In the same way, with Disney, which acquired Fox – and then the rights to the X-Men characters – it is expected that Kevin Feige will be launching a new Wolverine to the MCU. Consequently, months of speculation about who should fill the role have raged for months online.

Thanks to a petition on Change.org however, the name of the united states is becoming more “important” online. Although the petition many months ago, recently has started to collect still more signatures, reaching to 50,000. The next goal is 75,000. At the pace with which people are signing, this objective will probably be reached by the end of the year if not at Christmas. DeVito has yet to make a comment on the petition.

DeVito is, of course, the star of many movies loved, including Batman Returns Tim Burton, but we doubt that this will be enough to give him the part...
