Windows 7: Microsoft is preparing to notify users of end of support
Windows 7 is nearing the end of its life cycle by a few weeks, the operating system has entered into its last year of extended support, but, starting from January 14, 2020 will not release any more security updates to most users, with the exception of those of the company, who will have until 2023 before no longer receiving any security patches.
There are still many users who have chosen not to upgrade to Windows 10, and Microsoft is preparing to warn them of the 2020 deadline, through the sending of a notification to all Windows 7 systems. This will begin to appear on the first PC, from next month, and will contain a simple informational alert that has the aim to remind the users that after the date of the 14/01/2020 will no longer receive security updates. The same deadline also applies to Office 2010.
The notification will contain a link to the official website prepared by Microsoft for the occasion, in which are explained the risks that you incur in using a version of Windows is no longer supported. Of course, the advice offered from the house of Redmond is to upgrade as soon as possible to Windows 10 and Office 365 - possibly by changing directly the your PC -as you can read in one of the information boxes:Today is one of the best buys in the mid-range?
