Windows 10 19H1 store 7 GB of space for updates and cache
Windows 10 19H1 will reserve a portion of the hard disk to download Windows updates, manage the cache and temporary files. The function is called, for now, Reserved Storage, and should occupy in a permanent way about 7 GB of the storage unit main; Microsoft says that the size of this reserved area may change over time based on many factors, but the will of the user, is not among them. It will not be possible to change the amount of reserved space, or turn the function off completely.
According to Microsoft, the adoption of this measure "will improve the daily functioning of your PC, ensuring that some critical functions of the operating system will always have free space to run properly. Without the reserved space, if a user fills in the storage medium, different scenarios of Windows and applications to become unstable. Some applications may not run correctly if they require free space to work." For against, 7 GB are many economic systems that have just 32 GB of storage overall. Microsoft promises that will listen to the feedback of the testers and will try to find the best compromise possible.
The Reserved Storage will be active on all of the computers that fit natively in Windows 10 19H1 (for the first time, we also have a possible confirmation, as obvious, to the version number: 1903) and on all computers on which it is made a clean installation of the same version of the OS. Sensor memory will automatically delete all of the files in this protected area. The middle range without compromise? Samsung Galaxy A7 2018, buy it at the best price from ePrice to 268 euros.
