A new featurette delves into the themes behind the TV series Watchmen on HBO, focuses on the relationship between masks and fight crime after a terrorist attack.

The featurette also includes some new movies that explore some of the characters that we will soon see in the show – and it seems that the particular focus in this case is addressed to Nite Owl (or nite Owl if you prefer), and Dr. Manhattan.

Watchmen will premiere on October 20 on HBO. Watchmen is a mini-series of comics written by the british author Alan Moore and illustrated by his compatriot Dave Gibbons. It was published in twelve monthly issues by DC Comics between 1986 and 1987, and collected in the volume in 1987. The first Italian edition was published as an insert in the magazine Corto Maltese, the Rizzoli between 1988 and 1990, and in 1993 was followed by the edition, in the volume column. In the course of the years the work has been published in other versions also by the Play Press and Planeta DeAgostini, up to the most recent of the RW Editions.
