Uncharted: Dan Trachtenberg director of the film
After the departure of director Shawn Levy, it seemed that the first film in the live-action Uncharted is no longer in the plans of Sony, but, according to what reported by Variety, things would change: Dan Trachtenberg, a director known for having directed 10 Cloverfield Lane, he would have signed a contract to work on the film debut of Nathan Drake.
By the time Sony would be on the trail of the director, and Uncharted seems to be the right project to work together; in the shoes of adventurer Nathan Drake, there will be the Spider-Man of the MCU, Tom Holland, with the events of the plot that should follow those of the video game Uncharted 3 – Drake's deception, with the protagonist grappling with his past and his mentor Sully.
Has not been announced yet an official date for the beginning of the shoot but, according to the roadmap, it should be fixed by the end of 2019.
