Uncharted: Bryan Cranston could play Sully in the movie!

Published on Sep 25, 2017

That Hashtag Show reports that Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad, Godzilla) is in contention for a major supporting role in the film adaptation of Uncharted. This could be the role of Sully, the mentor of the protagonist, Nathan Drake.

Tom Holland (Spider-Man: the Homecoming) will play the young Nathan Drake.

Joe Carnahan, director of The A-Team and The Grey, has written the screenplay.

The date initially planned for the release of the film in the USA was 30 June 2017, but has been recently removed from the Sony. We do not know what will be the new date.

Based on the videogame Uncharted: Drake's Fortune by Sony Interactive, the story follows the adventures of treasure hunter Nathan Drake, descendant of explorer Sir Francis Drake, who thinks he can track down the location of El Dorado, the mythical city of gold in south america, a gold-plated statue of the cursed. Nate has to contend with a treasure hunter rival and with mutated creatures, the descendants of the hispanics and the nazis.

The previous drafts of the screenplay for the film were written by academy award winner Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker, Zero Dark Thirty), Oscar-nominated David O. Russell (on The positive side, American Hustle), by Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer, David Guggenheim for Bad Boys 3) and Cormac and Marianne Wibberley (national treasure).
