“Today at the Apple”, a new program that will involve users with sessions and unique experiences in all Apple Store
Apple today announced plans to launch dozens of new educational activities next month in all of the 495 Apple stores, in topics ranging from photos and videos, to music, from programming to art and design, and more.
The free programs focus on features of the Apple products that customers love the most, designed for all skill levels and ages. For example, an iPhone user interested in photography can start with six sessions on ‘How to do’ that cover the phases of recovery, organization, editing, and more. Photographers more advanced level may participate in ‘Photo Tours’ of experience that they leave the store to immerse themselves in techniques such as light and shadow, portraits and storytelling. Proceeding to level of expertise, the ‘photo Lab’ hosts of photographers already competent on topics such as the spontaneous shooting, the creation of a brand on social media or simply sharing their perspective.*
Apple will also offer special programs for families and teachers. Teachers can come together for ‘the Tuesday of the teachers to learn new ways to integrate technology in their classes, while aspiring programmers of all ages can learn how to write lines of code in the Swift programming language from Apple for iOS and Mac.** Families can participate in sessions ‘The time of the boys’ during the weekend, ranging from music creation, to writing code with the robot. Small business owners may be confronted with the great entrepreneurs or local entrepreneurs in the new program ‘Business Circuit’.*
Many of the sessions will be taught by the new Creative Pro, the equivalent for the arts, the creative Genius, the technical figures of Apple. Every Creative Pro is an expert in one or more areas of artistic and prepared in a specific way to transfer their skills to the Apple users of all levels.
The programming of “Today at Apple”
“Today at the Apple” offers programs with over 60 different sessions in creative skills, among which: The ‘Atelier’ is the Apple version of the hours of the receipt of a professor. The Creative Pro hosting sessions of 90 minutes on topics ranging from art and design, documents, and presentations. Anyone can bring a personal project to get advice from the experts, or to use the space to work together with others. The ‘photo Tours’, or ‘arts and culture’ to help participants to go beyond the recovery of moments, experiencing in first person the new techniques while working in their community. The ‘photo Tours’ include sessions such as the composition of the shot or capturing an action in the video, while the ‘arts and culture’ will explore the drawings based on observation, techniques of watercolor and brush and so on. ‘The time of the boys’ is thought to stimulate the imagination and creativity through fun projects and practical. The sessions include the coding with the robot, Sphero, Create Music with GarageBand, and Do a Movie Together with iMovie. The sessions of coding, have the aim of bringing anyone who wishes to programming using Swift Playgrounds, an iPad app designed to make programming interactive and fun for beginners. These sessions will explore the concepts of programming with the same code that professional developers use every day.** The ‘photographic Laboratories are home to talented photographers to experiment with new techniques and styles or to discover a new point of view in the practical sessions. In the same way, the ‘music Workshops’ explore different genres and beats to present new instruments to musicians of all levels.* ‘Pro series’ a guide for advanced users, in a study of Final Cut Pro X and Logic Pro X with sessions on correction and color graduation up to post-production, or mixing down audio, editing, and more.* ‘Perspectives’ and ‘Performances’, which are offered in a selected number of store, home to artists and musicians who talk about their creative process or share live their talent. To be able to offer new programs, each store receives new Forums Display, mobile display screens created by the design team at Apple specifically for the sessions “Today at Apple”, the new chairs and sound systems.
“Today at the Apple” will be launched globally in May, with sessions in every store.
