Tim Cook tries to convince Trump not to exit from the terms of the Paris Agreement on Climate
Tim Cook calls the White House to convince the President not to exit from the terms of the Paris agreement on climate change. Then, together with the larger American companies, signed a letter to stop this latest madness.
Trump is a disaster after another. The most recent decision of the President is to exit from the terms of the Paris agreement on climate change. It is an agreement to improve the environmental situation by reducing emissions.
America is the second largest producer of greenhouse gases, just behind China and by 2025 was promised to reduce emissions by 26-28% compared to 2005 levels. Trump, however, believes that climate change related to pollution are all lies invented by the chinese to make it less competitive american companies.
For this reason, the President would like to get out of the agreement, in such a way to not have to keep the faith of this promise, increasing the industries on american soil, in such a way as to increase the local production, to make the United States less dependent on China.
The final decision has not yet been announced, but many are Tech companies, and not only are not in agreement on this decision and thus, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft, Google, and many others, have signed a letter addressed to the White House where the President is invited to think of it.
The output from the Agreement of Paris, among other things, would limit the phenomenon that is spreading in these years, aiming to expand the market to the most innovative technologies and clean. Also the progress made in recycling would no longer be so important.
The decision will be made in a few days:
I will be announcing my decision on the Paris Accord over the next few days. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
