Tim Cook arrives in Sweden and speaks (again) of AR
Continue the european journey of Tim Cook, after being in France and the Uk, today, has arrived in Sweden. Tomorrow is the turn of Florence.
Tim Cook has visited the city of Stockholm and was in the offices of Apple are on Kungsgatan, the central street of the city. The CEO of Apple has also deepened the discussion on the next opening of a major Apple Store in Kungsträdgården, a park very close to the offices of Apple Stockholm. No official meeting in Sweden, but only a visit to the offices of Apple, and employees working in Stockholm.
Tim Cook has however released some official statements, talking once again of ARKit and comparing its reach to that of the output of the App Store in 2008: “Soon we will have a wave of app AR that will change our lives and we wonder how we did without for all these years. The AR technology will require a normal curve of diffusion, as was the case with the first app available on the app store. In addition, this technology is fundamentally different from the VR because you can be a part of everything that we do every day.”
And on education: “I Believe that teaching programming in school is something that we owe to the young people of today. Learn how to encode does not mean that everyone should become computer engineers. I think, however, that know what you can do with such an important tool, it is fundamental also for those who want to do the fashion designer, journalist, or any other thing.”
