The Witcher: the showrunner and the producer talk about the final trailer
In view of the imminent arrival of The Witcher on Netflix, set for 20 December, the showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich and executive producer Tomek Bagiński have decomposed the final trailer highlighting and explaining the important parts shown.
“There are a couple of moments in the trailer that are really important but may go unnoticed,” explains Hissrich “There is a moment in which Yennefer opens his eyes, and then another scene where Geralt is doing the same thing. For us, it is the symbol of a very important subject in our series, is the idea of waking up in a new life. There is a sense of rebirth in that gesture“.
This is the official synopsis for the series:
Inspired by the best-selling fantasy, The Witcher is a fairy tale epic. Geralt of Rivia, a lone monster hunter, fighting to find his place in a world where people often prove to be the most evil of beasts.
But when fate pushes him towards a powerful witch and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to live together to tackle a journey together.
The series will be streaming on Netflix from December 20.
