The Walking Dead – Monument: unveiled the timing
Nico Tortorella, the protagonist of the third series of The Walking Dead of AMC, says that the spin-off, which still doesn't have an official title, is set a decade after the beginning of the epidemic zombie.
“It's called Felix and he is the protector of a younger generation,” said the star to the Chicago Tribune when he was asked to describe his character. “The show focuses on a younger generation of people, 10 years after the apocalypse, and I'm kind of responsible dad”.
This puts the spin-off, now shot with the provisional title “Monument”, in sync with the series mother to his tenth season. A time skip of six years during Season 9, he moved in fact, the action in The Walking Dead in approximately the tenth year of the apocalypse. Given the premises, there are likely to be connections between the show and the movies.
The first details of TWD3 say that the two young female protagonists will lead the series, while telling the story of the first generation that grew up after the fall of civilization. According to an official description released by AMC during Comic-con in San Diego in July, “Some will become heroes. Some will become bad. In the end, all will be forever changed. Grown and cemented in their identity, both good and bad”.
Just like The Walking Dead and the spin-off " Fear the Walking Dead, this third series will follow a group of survivors in their corner of the shared universe of TWD. In Tortorella together with the co-stars previously announced Aliyah Royale as Iris, Annet Mahendru as Huck, Alexa Mansour as Hope, Nicolas Cantu as Elton, Hal Cumpston as Silas and Joe Holt as Leo Bennett.
