The Walking Dead: also saldaPress confirm the order
The number 193 of The Walking Dead out this week in the USA, it will be the last in the series of Robert Kirkman, started over fifteen years ago and that has become day after day a global phenomenon. Published in Italy by saldaPress, The Walking Dead will end in our country with the volume number, 32, announced for December from the same publishing house in Reggio Emilia.
“Although Skybound we had been given the opportunity to read a preview of #193 of The Walking Dead, the words ‘THE END’ at the end of the album have left me open-mouthed. As I imagine is happening in those, in these hours, it reads the register in the USA. The first thought was that it's a perfect ending that comes at the end of a beautiful, beautiful story, full of unforgettable characters. And that concludes a comic-strip novel, which took 16 years, a long period of time in which The Walking Dead was able to change in so many ways, the lives of so many people all over the world. And it is nice to think that all of this was made possible by a history,” commented editorial director Andrea G. Ciccarelli.
“So the underlying feeling that I feel now is that of gratitude – as a reader and as an editor – to Robert Kirkman, this story has created and written. And to all those who, over the years, we have worked to bring it to the monthly to the readers. Among these, first of all, of course, Charlie Adlard and Tony Moore who have designed, along with Cliff Rathburn, Stefano Gaudiano & Dave Stewart added grey tones, inks and colors. And, in general, to Skybound, one of our major publishing partners in 2010 and has never ceased to rely on great stories to publish here in Italy. And as he also says the ending of the Walking Dead – quiet, no spoilers – are the stories in the center of it all. And, in this, Robert and the team at Skybound remain unbeatable”.
As said, then the volume 32 of the edition brossurata (the first published in Italy by saldaPress since 2005), will be the last, with the highly anticipated Compendium 4 expected in the early months of 2020, which will be the last of that edition; the Book 16 instead of ending the edition hardcover, and edition of bi-monthly with the number 70.
The new edition, THE WALKING DEAD COLLECTION, will be launched at the end of July and will have eight volumes, 500 pages each. A perfect opportunity to start reading the masterpiece created and written by Robert Kirkman, drawn at the beginning by Tony Moore and for over 15 years by Charlie Adlard.
