The Vikings 6 with an exclusive preview on TIMvision
Starting from the 5th of December, the sixth season of Vikings will air on the preview on TIMvision, a day from the debut in the USA on the History. The 20 episodes will be aired in two parts and will follow the programming in the USA: after two episodes of the premiere, followed by an episode every Thursday. The release of the last 10 episodes, is expected in 2020.
The previous season ended with the revenge, the drama and the chaos. Ivar the boneless (Alex Høgh Andersen), a God self-proclaimed ruling with terror on the Kattegat, instructs his army to fight against his enemy and brother Bjorn The Armor (Alexander Ludwig).
Unleashing a fierce guerrilla war, the two brothers refuse to give up: the blood, the pride and the crown weigh too much on their shoulders. Ivar, forced to flee from a destiny impending, disappears in the darkness, and ensures the victory of Bjorn.
Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick), that was revived after being disappointed with the loss of a great love, the crowning Bjorn as a legitimate king.
The sixth season returns after the success of Bjorn Ironside (Alexander Ludwig) in the battle between the Sons of Ragnar, the winner is the hero for the people which has long been under the tyrannical rule of Ivar.
As the new leader of the Kattegat, Bjorn fight for the role of the king as the father facing several powerful rivals. After the defeat at the hands of his brother Bjorn, Ivar the boneless along the silk road in Russia and faces the prince Oleg (Danila Kozlovsky), a sovereign Russian ruthless and unpredictable, which upsets him with his actions ruthless.
While Lagertha want to live a retired life on his farm, and more quiet, new dangers lurk closer to home. In the meantime, Ubbe (Jordan Patrick Smith) and Grim (Georgia Hirst) goes to Iceland to unravel the mystery that surrounds the disappearance of Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård) and Hvitserk (Marco Ilsø) pursues his personal vendetta against Ivar.
“Vikings” is created and written by Michael Hirst (winner of the Academy Award® for the film Elizabeth). In the cast of the sixth season Katheryn Winnick (Lagertha), Alexander Ludwig (Bjorn), Alex Høgh Andersen (Ivar the Boneless), Georgia Hirst (Torvi), Jordan Smith (Ubbe) and Marco Ilsø (Hvitserk).
Hirst is the executive producer along with Morgan O'sullivan of TM Productions (The Count of Monte Cristo; “The Tudors”), Sheila Hockin (“The Tudors”, “The Borgias”), John Weber of Take 5 Productions (“The Tudors “,” The Borgias “), Sherry Marsh, Alan Gasmer and James Flynn (” The Tudors “,” The Borgias “).
Waiting to enjoy the last season of the main series, Netflix has already ordered a sequel series spin-off, focused on the exploits of famous vikings such as Leif Erikson and his sister Freydis, Harald III and William the Conqueror.
The creator Michael Hirst will return as executive producer (with Morgan O'sullivan), with Jeb Stuart as a writer and showrunner of the new series.
