The Umbrella Academy: the first teaser for the series on Netflix
The adaptation of the comic promises a vision of the dark-comic genre of superheroes, with a lot of pathos. Based on the series of graphic novels by Gerard Way, The Umbrella Academy is a series of Netflix that revolves around a group of unorthodox superheroes living in an alternate version of american history.
These characters, superhumans, who have all been adopted as sons by Sir Reginald Hargreeves (Colm Feore) for a special training to save the world, they gather from adults through a tragedy. However, although all share a common history, their individual abilities and strong personalities tend to make things difficult for them. The series also sees Ellen Page, Robert Sheehan, Mary J. Blige, Tom Hopper, Emmy Raver-Lampman, and Aidan Gallagher in the cast.
In the first official teaser for The Umbrella Academy, the group meets in front of the tragedy and showcases its abilities, super strong. Not quite as refined as some heroes in other adaptations of comics, such as Avengers or the Justice League, the characters of The Umbrella Academy show their feelings and their frustrations as you see in the trailer.
The series is expected on February 15, 2019.
