The two games share a large part of the revenue of the App Store
In the United States, the two games have virtually dominated the revenues of the App Store, exceeding 200 million dollars in a year: this is the Clash Royale, and the Pokémon Go.
As you can see in the ranking by Sensor Tower, in 2016 Clash Royale has made record 19.1 million downloads and revenues of 277 million dollars, coming from in-app purchases. In the second place, the Pokémon Go with 42 million downloads and 270.2 million dollars of revenue. The game Niantic is, however, only came out in July, while the Clash Royal was launched in the month of February.
These two titles were also the only ones to have exceeded the threshold of $ 100 million in revenue, since at the third place we find Lords Mobile with 18.1 million dollars of revenue. Fourth place for Super Mario Run ($16.4 M), fifth place for CSR Racing ($15.7 M):
This means that a large part of the gains made to record on the App Store are practically divided between the two titles!
