The Twilight Zone: the revival renewed for a second season
CBS All Access wants to stay a little longer in the Twilight Zone. The streaming service CBS has renewed for a second season, the revival of the classic sci-fi To the borders of reality, it is the work of Jordan Peele (Escape – Get Out, We – Us), who is also the narrator. The renewal comes a month after the start of programming in the Usa, the 1 April, while in Italy the series has not been a home. A number of episodes for season 2 has not yet been announced.
“The remaking of Jordan Peele and Simon Kinberg of the classic The Twilight Zone was a great start to CBS All Access, with the highest number of views for a premiere with the first episode,” said Julie McNamara, executive vice president of original content for the service. “Jordan, Simon, the creative team and the cast have done a phenomenal job in translating the legacy of the story socially relevant for today's audience. They are a great storyteller, and we look forward to bringing viewers in season 2”.
The revival of The Twilight Zone is described as a modern retelling of the classic sci-fi of the ’60s, and in the cast has so far seen the participation of names such as Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley), Adam Scott (Parks and Recreation), Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead) and John Cho (The Exorcist). Once again, Jordan Peele has given us a vision all its own of the meaning of the horror/thriller, as we already did at the cinema twice.
