In these days, are carried out in the Italian scenes for the spin-off prequel of The Throne of Swords and, on Twitter, have leaked some images that portray the men of house Stark in the waters of Gaeta. As we can see, the coat of arms is slightly different and seems to stack another figure (still not very clear) together with the traditional Metalupo.

Only shortly before sunset the prop the boat came out of the grotto again to go back to the production's second base in the port of Gaeta. This time the boat's crew was in costume and the banner (which might be an early Stark one?) revealed. #Bloodmoon #Gaeta pic.twitter.com/WYRFn3aJMT

Metalupi that, as revealed by George R. R. Martin, will be always present to the side of Stark: “There will be the Stark, Metalupi and Mammoths, as well as others, that will be an important part of the plots,” said Martin EW, “THE Lannister's still not there, while there is still casterly and the family from which it derives its name, the Casterly”.

prequel that, according to what was declared by Naomi Watts, will be at the height of the expectations.

“I'm quite excited, I have goosebumps, it is all very intimidating and exciting at the same time,” the words of The Associated Press “With the final season around the world has exploded, every thing was tied to The iron Throne, the advertising, the articles, all on that topic...it's scary. I hope that the fans look at the series and find something new and interesting even in this other world that we will propose, I don't think will be disappointed, it's been putting on a great team.

This is the synopsis that is currently widespread of the first spin-off that will be launched, currently known as The Long Night:

The series will tell the happened thousands of years before the events of the original series and the series will tell the story of the descent of the world from the golden age of Heroes to its darkest hour. And only one thing is certain: the horrific secrets of the history of Westeros to the mysteries of the East, to the Stark... is not the story we think we know...

The character of Watts, is described as “a woman of the charismatic aristocrat who hides dark secrets”, making a guess as the Watts will go on to interpret a woman member of one of the most important families. The details, however, remain insufficient to determine the actual role of the actress, she was nominated for a BAFTA, the Screen Actors Guild Award and academy Award for best actress for her performance in the drama 21 grams.

The cast includes Josh Whitehouse, Miranda Richardson, Jamie Campbell Bower, Toby Regbo, Georgie Henley, Alex Sharp, Naomi Ackie, Marquis Rodriguez, John Simms, Richard McCabe, John Heffernan and Dixie Egerickx

In regard to the development of other projects, spoke some time ago George R. R. Martin: “Were scheduled for the HBO five projects related to the world of Game of Thrones, I don't like, however, to call them spin-off; three of them are progressing well with the production” the words of the author on his blog, “What I am not I suppose you call it The Long Night to start shooting towards the end of the year, while the other two are concluding the stage of the screenplay. What will be their storyline? I can not say, but my advice to the fans to take in hand a copy of Blood and Fire, and begin to develop theories”. One of the spin-off, the one entrusted to Bryan Cogman (co-executive producer of Game of Thrones), however, it was shelved.

All of the projects in the franchise will be, however, disconnected from the main series: “there will be continuity with the work done by David Benioff and D. B. Weiss, is their magnificent world, and I do not want to transport their characters to another, is one of the reasons why I'm not trying to produce the same kind of show” the previous words of the president of programming for HBO, “George has created a world that is vast, with lots of universes inside it, and we want to explore something different. At the moment, these are the reasons why it is not a good idea to do a sequel or spin-off direct.
