Despite the recent rumor, Zatanna will not appear in The Suicide Squad because the writer-director James Gunn had never even considered.

I have nothing against Zatanna, but I have no idea where some of this stuff comes from. I never even thought of including her in #TSS (nor many of the other characters I keep hearing are in the film). I can't comment on every rumor, but just know many aren't true. !sromur yawA https://t.co/fPTB510I77

In the months following the arrival of Gunn in the production of the film, one of the biggest questions fans had as to who would and would not enter into Task Force X. Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Boomerang (Jai Courtney), Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman) and Amanda Waller (Viola Davis) are the only ones returning from the first chapter. But Gunn is using the roster of villains in DC to introduce a plethora of new characters. A recent item reported that the character DC Zatanna would appear in the film.

Gunn wrote on Twitter to say that, despite the popularity of the character, has never even considered when he made the formation of The Suicide Squad. And he also cautioned that there are other voices in the same way are not true.

Zatanna is a character that many fans of the DC would like to see on the big screen, which is why there was a lot of excitement for this item. His debut, unfortunately, will have to wait, although last year it was said that WB and DC were thinking of giving Her a movie solo. Of the rest she has never been part of the Suicide Squad in the comics, and is traditionally a heroine, so its appearance in The Suicide Squad could be rather improper.
