Confirmed by the director himself, the news that he wants the sequel to Fantastic beasts and Where to Find them set in Paris...

During an interview with Empire Magazine, the director of Fantastic beasts and Where to Find them, David Yates, has confirmed that the sequel of the film will be set in France and, more precisely, in Paris!

Here are his words, taken from an article that appeared on the note magazine:

What we do know is that the sequel is already in development will be set in Paris. And it will be colossal as a Panciasquamato Ukrainian. “It is rather ambitious,” confirms Yates, who will return together with the set designer Stuart Craig, to the direct of photography Philippe Rousselot, and the costume designer Colleen Atwood. “Stuart is impassive and tireless, but when he read the script of Animals 2, he replied: ‘I have to think about for a moment...’”.

Lepricani in the Louvre? Sea serpents in the river Seine? Everything is possible. Maybe even a Vermicolo.

What do you think? Would you like to see a chapter of the saga set maybe in Rome? Please let us know in the comments below!

Fantastic beasts and where to find them begins in 1926, with Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) who has just finished a trip around the world to try and document an extraordinary range of magical creatures. He came to New York for a short break, he thinks that everything is going in the right direction... if it was not for a No-Maj (the american term for Muggle) name Jacob, a briefcase left in the wrong place, and for the escape of some of the Fantastic Animals of Newt; that could cause a lot of problems both in the magical world and the muggle.

In the cast of Fantastic beasts and Where to Find them will find, in addition to the Oscar-winning Eddie Redmayne (Newt Scamander), Katherine Waterston (Tina), Alison Sudol (Queenie, sister Tina), Dan Fogler (Jacob), Ezra Miller (Credence), Samantha Morton (Mary Lou), Jenn Murray (Chastity), Faith Wood-Blagrove (Modesty), Colin Farrell (Graves), Ron Perlman (a goblin), and Jon Voight.

Director there will be David Yates, while the screenplay will be taken care of writer J. K. Rowling (in collaboration with Steve Kloves).

The arrival in the Italian cinemas is scheduled for November 17, 2016, on the following day in those stars and stripes.
