The lessons of Annalise Keating are about to finish the sixth season on ABC de the Rules of The Perfect Crime will in fact be the last.
The most recent season, which will debut on Thursday, 26 September, will follow the students of Annalise during their last semester at the school of law, and “the deception, the fear and the guilt that bind professor Keating to his students prove to be more lethal than ever,” says the official description.
Along with the announcement, ABC has released a sneak preview of the final episodes – which you can see above – that defines the Season 6 “the beginning of The end” and in which we also see scenes of the most shocking of the previous five seasons.
The series premiered in September 2014, joining Grey's Anatomy, and Viola Davis took home the Emmy for lead actress in a drama series in 2015 for her portrayal of Annalise Keating, becoming the first woman of color to win the award.
“Viola Davis has made the history of television, with its unforgettable portrait of the iconic woman anti-heroine Annalise Keating,” he said in a note to the president of ABC Entertainment's Karey Burke. “I am eternally grateful to you, Pete Nowalk and Shondaland for having created and produced a series that is so smart, sophisticated, and innovative, which has long been an integral part of the Thursday night ABC's”.
“To decide to put an end to this series was a decision brutal, but in the end, the story tells you what to do – as has happened here,” added the creator Pete Nowalk, “For me, the journey of Annalise Keating has always had a clear final. To know that we have 15 episodes to complete its story, and the possibility of giving all the characters their end, is a gift rarely given to a creator of the series, and I am grateful to ABC and ABC Studios for the opportunity and creative freedom... I also Want to thank our fans. The only reason this show exists is because of your loyalty and your enthusiasm. I can not wait to you all see how it ends, with shots of the scene and all the madness that we love to create every Thursday evening”.
