At the conclusion of the last episode of the first animated series of The Promised Neverland (12°), inspired by the manga of the same name written by Kaiu Shirai and designed by Posuka Demizu has been unveiled, even through the pages of Shonen Jump issue 18, that there will be a second season and that will come in 2020 in Japan.

A few hours later than the announcement is below a first teaser trailer that traces the events leading from the first season:

In addition, in the occasion of the announcement, the two authors of the manga, Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu, have commented on the finish of the second season with a comment reported by @TPNManga, Twitter page credited on the actuality of the franchise.

Kaiu Shirai (history):

“It's been confirmed the second season!!
Thank you all for having seen the souls of The Promised Neverland! It was nice, no?! Seen that quality?! The manga has been made into an anime by the love, the passion, the tears, the sweat and efforts of a staff and a cast of great. We will do the same thing for the second season of the animated! So stay absolutely tuned! I can't wait!”

“The second season of the animated has been ordered! Thanks!
Today I was looking at in the future through the timetable for the implementation of a draft version of the manga! If I will be alive in 2045 (approximately 25 years after), that is, the setting of the manga, I'll remember this now? Friends now will be such in the future? Or all will go away in a blink of an eye? Towards the end of 2045 and beyond! I can't wait!”

The first series began in January 2019 and ends in march. With the production of CloverWorks the entire project is visible, legally and free of charge, with subtitles in Italian by the streaming platform VVVVID (Dynit).

Emma, Norman and Ray live happily since birth in an orphanage, surrounded by a dense forest, cared for by a loving “mom”. Their illusion of normalcy falls apart when they discover what really happens to those who leave the house to be “adopted”, and what's behind it is the wall that delimits the forest: the kids do not remains that wits to try to escape. Begins a deadly game of cat and mouse!

The Promised Neverland is written by Kaiu Shirai and designed by Posuka Demizu on the pages of the weekly magazine of Weekly Shonen Jump, from 1 August 2016. The manga currently has come to the chapter number 128 with 13 volumes published.

In Italy the work is published by J-POP with the first 8 volumes available.

On the 4th of June 2018 has been released in Japan and online stores in the first light novel inspired by the manga. The story is focused on co-star Norman, who, on the day of his expedition, talks about his memories lived with Emma and the other children of the orphanage, Grace Field House through a letter addressed to them. The novel is written from Nanao. The second, focused on the mother Isabella and sister Krone, is available from the 4 January 2019.
