The Promised Neverland: the announcement of the third light novel

The profile of the official Twitter account of the franchise of The Promised Neverland has revealed that the work written by Kaiu Shirai and designed by Posuka Demizu will soon have the right to a third light novel.

From the first information revealed, we learn that the novel will tell the “secret history” behind “that character”. At the moment do not know details, nor who is responsible for the writing and nor a release date.

On the occasion of the Jump Festa, an event that promotes the franchise manga and anime Shueisha in the performance in these hours until tomorrow, December 22, it was confirmed the release of the second season of the animated of The Promised Neverland, for October, 2020.

On the 4th of June 2018 has been released in Japan and online stores in the first light novel inspired by the manga. The story is focused on co-star Norman, who, on the day of his expedition, talks about his memories lived with Emma and the other children of the orphanage, Grace Field House through a letter addressed to them. The novel is written from Nanao. The second, focused on the mother Isabella and sister Krone, is available from the 4 January 2019.

Emma, Norman and Ray live happily since birth in an orphanage, surrounded by a dense forest, cared for by a loving “mom”. Their illusion of normalcy falls apart when they discover what really happens to those who leave the house to be “adopted”, and what's behind it is the wall that delimits the forest: the kids do not remains that wits to try to escape. Begins a deadly game of cat and mouse!

The Promised Neverland is written by Kaiu Shirai and designed by Posuka Demizu on the pages of the weekly magazine of Weekly Shonen Jump, from 1 August 2016. The manga currently has come to the chapter number 161, with 16 volumes published.

In Italy the work is published by J-POP with the first 12 volumes are available.

Produced by CloverWorks, the first animated series inspired by the manga has been aired in Japan from January to march 2019. In Italy it is visible legally with subtitles in Italian through the streaming platform VVVVID. The second anime series will come in 2020.

TOHO on 18 December 2020 and will distribute in the japanese cinemas of the first film, a live-action with real actors in flesh and bones, inspired by the manga series.
