Apple has made it known that the 28 February will be activated officially the new data center, made in China, where will be stored the data of chinese users, but not only...
The new data center was built to Guizhou in collaboration with the CGBD to comply with local laws. The data of chinese users will be transferred starting from the 28th of February, with Apple reassures everyone that the transfer will comply with all safety standards and that there will be no inconvenience for the users.
Initially, it seemed that this migration would be affected only users who are currently living in China, but apparently it will not be so. To be sure, in the new data center of china will be moved to the iCloud account of different users living in the United States and that in the past have been in China or who have originally created their account in the country.
Not all of the users that fall into these categories will be affected, but Apple's confirmation that there is this possibility.
All affected users will be informed with an email that Apple will send in the next few weeks.
