The Morning Show: teaser trailer of the series Apple TV+
Apple TV+ has released the trailer for The Morning Show, one of the first titles of the streaming platform of Apple, played by Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Steve Carell; the series tells of the lives of the people who give the news to viewers at the beginning of each new day. Aniston and Witherspoon are also executive producers.
The series coming up, which has already received an order for two seasons, is among the offerings of the most high-profile of Apple TV+ and marks the return as the protagonist of Aniston in a regular series since Friends ended in 2004. Carell has followed a similar fate since it came out from The Office towards the end of season 7. The Morning Show seems to be a mixture of serious and witty, which draws inspiration from contrasts that occur between people, apparently friends, a news program in the morning. The teaser published by AppleTV seems to play on this dichotomy. Carell plays Mitch Kessler, a presenter who struggles to keep his corner of the world in a media landscape in continuous evolution. Aniston will play Karen Kessler, a colleague of Mitch. Judging by the surname in common, it is safe to assume that the two are in a personal relationship.
Played by Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Black Mirror), Billy Crudup, Nestor Carbonell, and Mark Duplass, according to reports, the first season will consist of 10 episodes. Kerry Ehrin will work as showrunner.
The Morning Show will be presented this autumn.
