And’ the state reached an agreement on the costs of roaming in Europe. The changes will take effect from mid-June 2017. Let's find out what has been decided.

The agreement in question speaks of the abolition of roaming charges in the member states of the EU starting from June 2017. The date of the entry into force of the agreement is 15 June. In substance it was found an agreement on the amounts that operators pay to other operators to provide voice line and data to roaming customers. So, there have been certain costs at the wholesale (between operators) in order to make more transparent the management of roaming and not pass on to consumers the costs, so they will not have to pay for accessing networks while roaming in the EU member countries.

Starting from June 15, 2017 will begin the fall in wholesale costs, which from the current 50 euro per GB will come to 7.7 euros per GB. In the next few years is expected to reach the figure of 2.5 euros per GB (rates will be renewed every two years). Operators may, however, invest in the creation and improvement of 4G networks, or 5G.
