The Knights of the Zodiac, the comment by the designer of the series on Netflix about the Andromeda
Through their Twitter official account Terumi Nishii, character designer of the new animated series Netflix on the Knights of The Zodiac – Saint Seiya, has commented on the controversial decision to make Shun of Andromeda is a female character.
The designer explains that the choice was made before she decided to accept the position of character designer, and being shocked; but it also considers that the new Andromeda will do his best as the new Sacred Warrior:
Shun was determined to be a woman before I decided to take charge of character design. I was shocked! But I believe that she will do her best as a new Saint Warrior character!

Yoshiharu Ashino (D. Gray-man-Hallow) directs the Knights of The Zodiac – Saint Seiya at Toei Animation on scripts put forth by Benjamin Townsend, Shannon Eric Denton, Thomas F. Zahler, Joelle Sellner, Travis Donnelly, Thomas Pugsley, Saundra Hall, Shaene Siders, and Patrick Rieger and coordinated by Eugene Son (Avengers: Secret Wars).
Takashi Okazaki (Afro Samurai) oversees the design of the armor.
The first season of the animated series will consist of 12 episodes 30 minutes each one that will adapt the original story from the events of the the Galaxian Wars to the saga of the Silver Saints.
It will be available on Netflix in Italy during the summer of 2019.
The KNIGHTS OF the ZODIAC: Saint Seiya follows the adventures of the young “Knights”, the protectors of the jurors of the reincarnation of the Greek goddess Athena. Each knight wears a powerful armor inspired by the zodiac constellation that represents and is called Knight of the Zodiac. The knights help Athena in her battle against the powerful gods of Olympus, determined to destroy humanity.
