The iPhone 12 might have a form of protection of the battery custom that will be almost 50% smaller and thinner than the protective circuit of its predecessors, according to industry sources quoted by Korean website The Elec.

The smaller module may free up internal space in the iPhone models 12, favoring a slight increase of the capacity of the battery. The report states that the smaller module would be provided by ITM Semiconductor of Korea.

A battery's protection circuit helps prevent overloading and the discharge excessive. The new form of ITM Semiconductor combines the circuit protection with a MOSFET and the PCB, eliminating the need for a case.

In a separate report, The Elec said that ITM Semiconductor has already provided the new modules to Samsung for the Galaxy S11.

It is expected that Apple releases four iPhone the high-end in 2020, including a model by 5.4 inches, the two models 6.1-inch display and a model to be 6.7 inches. All four devices should have OLED display, support 5G, a new metal structure similar to the iPhone 4, up to 6 GB of RAM, rear cameras, triple lens, with the detection of 3D, and more.

The iPhone 11 Pro Max has the life of the battery larger than any other iPhone, with a duration of up to five hours more than the iPhone XS Max.
