The iPhone 11 Pro collects data on the location of the users

A security researcher has discovered that the iPhone 11 Pro collects in intermittent location data even when the user has disabled the location services.

KrebsOnSecurity has identified the problem, has made a video that shows the problem and has reported it to Apple. However, the colossus of Cupertino says that some of the system services continue to collect location data even when the user has selected not to share the location with the services and the system apps.

The iPhone 11 Pro Apple tries intermittently to the information on the position of the user even when we choose not to share the location with all the applications and system services on the phone. Apple says that this is by design, but this response seems to be in contrast with the privacy policy of the company.

“Is it possible to disable the system services that require the use of the location by going to Privacy> location Services> system Services and disabling all services”. But it seems there are some system services on this model (and perhaps other models of the iPhone 11) that using the data on location that cannot be disabled by users, as the arrow icon appears periodically even after having disabled individually all the system services that use the location.

This, as suggested by Krebs, seems to contradict the claim of Apple that the users will get total control over the sharing of their location.
