The House: Sam Raimi confirms the development of a new film
After having believed that the franchise could indeed finish, Evil Dead (or The House) of Sam Raimi might return to the limelight. During the Comic con in New York, Raimi has made reference to the current state of the franchise and if we'll see another chapter of the Evil Dead maybe not the protagonist of the long-time Ash (Bruce Campbell).
During the appearance of Raimi at the panel of New York for the upcoming film, The Grudge, the same has stated that it “Is coming even Evil Dead”. Raimi also confirmed that Campbell would return to the role just as he had said, after the conclusion of Ash vs Evil Dead.
There are surely several options that could advance the plot in a new direction with a new protagonist, but an option that remains interesting is the remake of 2013, which saw the protagonist Jane Levy survive barely to his encounter with the evil, making it a potential new heroine.
To know if Raimi decides to follow the path started with the character of Levy, or even start again from the beginning, we just have to wait.
