Through his official Twitter account, Trank said, referring to The Irishman by Martin Scorsese, that “the first 5 minutes have a little more humanity, truth and intrigue, the film with respect to the duration of all the individual Marvel movies together ahahahahahahahaha. I'm sorry, are the facts. No, I'm sorry.“

This of course has raised many different opinions online. Some fans agree with his comments, others not. However, there is a part of the commentators who has pointed out that Trank would have to commend the brilliant The Irishman without having the need to drag the MCU in the conversation.

With the benefit of hindsight, it seems that the tweet Trank has been written intentionally to trigger and essentially resurrect a discussion that is not necessary. In the end, both the parties argued their reasons about the topic and have simply agreed to disagree. The dispute had been dead for some time, and yet, with only one tweet, the whole thing has taken life. It will be perhaps for this reason that, later, the tweet was removed.
