The chinese government is to close the iTunes Movie and iBooks
Last week, China were mysteriously closed the iTunes store dedicated to film and to digital books. Initially seemed to be a problem of Apple is easily solved, but apparently it would have been the chinese government to ask for their closure.
A few months ago, not without difficulty Apple had received approval for the sale of films and books on the iTunes Store in China, but now the State Administration of Press chinese, he changed his mind and has forced the closure of the two digital stores. At the moment there are no clear-cut reasons, but the decision took by surprise all seen that recently the relationship between Apple and the chinese government have been always cordial and stronger.
A spokesman for the company confirmed the closure, but Apple says confident of an imminent solution of the story: “we Hope to make available movies and books to our customers in China“.
It is not excluded that the decision has been taken not to censor content, but to encourage chinese companies: a few weeks ago, chinese president Xi Jinping had said it would help local companies to emerge with respect to foreign competition.
