The Big Bang Theory – Kaley Cuoco: Penny had to be more “dark”
The Big Bang Theory is about to come to an end and, while over the years it has become a worldwide success, originally the series had different elements than we saw in the course of the series.
In a featurette of the series, inserted in the next collection of home videos among the special content, Kaley Cuoco has spoken of the character that would have had to interpret, a woman very different from Penny.
“Actually, I had auditioned for the pilot of the original, but I was not been chosen,” says Cook, “I would have had to play Katie, a woman dark and unhappy.”
As we all know, that pilot was then changed from Chuck Lorre, the same that declared it as the female character with which to interact with Leonard and Sheldon could not be like Katie.
This was Penny, a woman more solar and fun and at the same time, comprehensive with two; once changed the role, the Cook, was again taken into consideration and then choice.
