The show of the rest continues to have the appreciation of the spectators, so there is no wonder if the network is not opposed to the expansion of the franchise created by Chuck Lorre.

The Big Bang Theory already has a spin-off prequel, Young Sheldon, who tackles the early years of Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) in Galveston, Texas, with his strange and fascinating family.

But soon the slot occupied by the show will be occupied by someone else, and CBS there are of course already thinking about it. The president of CBS Entertainment, and Kelly Kahl during the tour print winter TCA had the opportunity to speak of the plans post-The Big Bang Theory, including the ability to launch another spin-off. Kahl said that, now, things are still uncertain, but are open to a new show, in the case Lorre has an idea: “That [decision] will not be taken until may when we will organize our meetings for the programming, we are happy to have a show such as Young Sheldon, but there are never guarantees on the timing or duration of the programs... Nothing formal, the ball is exactly in their hands, if they want to talk to us, we are here to listen to”.

The response Kahl is not a surprise to many since they were already planning to order The Big Bang Theory season 13, as he revealed last August. Only after a couple of weeks it was announced that the show would have ended after 12 years and even if the reason for the cancellation has yet to be elucidated, the rumors say that is mainly due to reluctance on the part of Parsons to return. In an interview more recently, the actor explained that it just seemed like the right time to abandon the series because they seem to have done everything that they want in the show.

It remains to be seen if The Big Bang Theory has a new spin-off. Apart from Parsons, the rest of the cast seems to be still prepared to resume their roles, so it would not be so difficult to convince some of them to act in a show connected. In this way, CBS can take full advantage of the huge number of fans of the sitcom. It is not a secret that a big chunk of the fans of The Big Bang Theory is not exactly a fan of Young Sheldon considering that rewrites some events of the series mother.
