The current owner of the Giant Beast now seems to be at the terminus and, precisely in such a situation between life and death, Zeke brings to mind his past and his childhood which was safe, fun, and teaching pure and chaste.
A part of his past, however, he played a man named Tom Xaver, or teacher, and a student of Zeke sources eldiane. The man has over time become an honorary citizen of Marley, with the role of scientist and researcher of the Giants.
While little Zeke felt more and more far away from the father Grisha and mother Dina as they had only grown and managed the child for their own purposes of success of the plan of restoration of Eldia, Xaver was like a salvation, a sort of guardian angel that allowed him to live and to create a final goal... and also to play together in baseball.
And not only that. Within the chapter we learn, also, that Tom Xaver was also the owner of the Giant Beast, that is, the power that now is in the same Zeke and his teacher has to decide who will be the son of Grisha to be the successor.
But what is the reason for which Xaver chose to become a scientist for the account of Marley, despite eldiano of nature?
The real reason lies in the fact that the man once owned a family, a wife and a child. The woman, sources marleyane, decides to take his life and that of the small once you have found out that Xaver was actually a eldiano, that is, the race of demonic according to Marley, who many years ago has decimated the nation because of the power of the Giants.
Disgusted by this reality, Xaver had hoped for a mass genocide of Eldia to eliminate the terror of the Giants from the future, and it seems that Zeke is leading this end through Eren who, as we know, has recently undergone a great change.
