The third season of the animated de The Attack of the Giants (Shingeki no Kyojin) began in July 2018 and conclude a number of weeks ago and will return in April 2019 with the transposition of the narrative arc Back to Shiganshina. The story arc will complete the second and final part of the third season, which began with a story based on the uprising carried out by the Body Search. However, as we know, the anime has presented many differences and changes in the narrative compared to the manga which is inspired by written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama.

The screenwriter of the anime series, Yasuko Kobayashi, he has had occasion to explain the origin and the reason for the implementation of these changes through a brand new interview with seal for the PASH! Magazine, the japanese magazine which is available from a few days to purchase.

Fans quickly realised, since the first episode of the third season, which will were applied to the differences of transposition. In particular, the animated series has proved to be more explosive than expected, and the artist had the opportunity to speak to this important detail. Here are the words of Yasuko Kobayashi offered by SNKNews:

“Because the development team wanted to include a certain amount of action scenes in the first episode to create a tone until the end of the series, it was the master himself, Hajime Isayama, to propose a revolution in the events in order to give the souls a narrative more clear and clean. The master Isayama has personally said that if we were able to differentiate things in a significant way, it would have been really good. Isayama-sensei, in fact, has always been convinced that in his manga readers have not been positively affected by developments that had been proposed.

As we know, the arc of the narrative of the revolt (the first part of the third season) was not a positive moment for the mangaka japanese and he also said he found a lack of ideas. The screenwriter has stated that the first episode was produced in full agreement with Isayama and everything, from the timeline of the events, the setting up to the content, has been boldly reinvented, but not without troubles.

“Unfortunately we were also forced to sacrifice a few points to give a narrative concise and we worked on different elements in order to initiate another duel between Levi and Kenny“.

The third season of the animated, made up for now by a total of 12 episodes, was completed in October 2018, but will resume in April 2018 with a wave of other epic 12 episodes. Finally, remember, the manga version is the entry in the narrative arc of the final.
