The launch of the Atari VCS is at risk. The new "retro" console that will give you access to over 2000 retro games you would find currently in a difficult situation given that Rob Wyatt (system architect), as reported by The Register, has abandoned the project, because for several months it was not paid for the work done by his consulting company.

Starting from Friday, 4 October, I have resigned officially as the architect of the Atari VCS. I was hoping to see the project completed and I was not expecting this epilogue, but I have no other choice but to pursue other opportunities.
