The AirTag could use the magnetic charging, and be “fully waterproof”

According to a new report published by japanese site Mac Otakara, the AirTag will be “fully waterproof”, and will use a wireless charging magnetic similar to the one seen on the Apple Watch.

The tracks of the AirTag have been found in builds of iOS 13 from last summer, and it seems that the locators of small objects are displayed in the app Where it allow users to locate lost objects. With the support of the ultra broad band present in the models of in iPhone 11, and the augmented reality, it seems that the AirTag can provide high accuracy and direct the user directly to an object, locating it within a room.

We are not sure when to expect the launch of this new product, but it seems that we have to wait until at least the end of the year, as observed by the analyst Ming-Chi Kuo last week.

In the report, Kuo said that the production should not increase until the second or third quarter, and the report today, Mac Otakara claims that the AirTag will be launched in the autumn, probably on the occasion of the event of September.
