Sudden and unexpected, after only one episode came the closing of Swamp Thing from the DC Universe and, as often happens, the fans have been mobilized to save the series: on Twitter, in fact, began to depopulate the hashtag #SaveSwampThing, and immediately became a trend. The hope is that, if it is confirmed the cancellation, the series could land on another network, a bit’ as happened with Lucifer (“saved” from Netflix).

In the meantime, have been denied the economic issues behind the cancellation, on which they rather influiti not better specified problems on the set of which, evidently, is not in the current James Wan: producer, on his profile on Instagram, he showed his concern about the decision.

Don't really know or understand why #Swampthing was cancelled, but I can tell you this — all the cast and crew, and producing/writing team poured their hearts into this. Really proud of everyone's hard work. Go watch episode 2, and immortalize these 10 episodes. Swampy deserves it.

“I don't know sincerely why Swamp Thing was deleted, but I can say that all of the cast, the crew and the production team have put heart for the realization of this series. I'm really proud of the hard work of all. Look at all of the remaining episodes of the season, Swampy he deserves it.”

Taking advantage of the saying “not all the evils come to harm,” however, this unfortunate situation could open the door to a scenario perhaps even more exciting: one of a crossover with Constantine.

As we know, investigator of the occult, played by Matt Ryan is the protagonist again (after the cancellation of his series) in the Arrowverse The CW in the Legends of Tomorrow, and, own the network, you may decide to “save” Swamp Thing " and to add to this, the presence of Constantine. On the other hand, the figure of the character from the comics, is linked to that of Swamp Thing, and the narrative possibilities they would be very rich. In times not suspects, about a year ago, the same Ryan called for a reunification of Constantine with Swamp Thing: “Constantine was born with Swamp Thing, it has to be in his series. And I hope I can do it interpreted by me as” the words of the actor at Wizard World Cleveland.

The scenario described remains, given the times early on, in the field of hypothesis, but since the base established fan DC at The CW and the upcoming renewal of the Arrowverse (and as we all know, after the eighth season, will see the end of Arrow) we are sure will be considered by the network.

This is the synopsis of the series:

“When a researcher for the CDC, Abby Arcane returns to his childhood home in Houma, Louisiana, to investigate a deadly virus emanating from the swamp, develops a surprising bond with the scientist Alec Holland discovering early on as the place to hide the mysteries terrifying. Unexplained and gruesome horrors to emerge from the murky mud of the swamp, and no one is safe anymore”.

The programming for the first season will continue, however, with the DC Universe which will broadcast the remaining episodes.
