Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Rey will build its own laser sword in the film?

Published on Jun 16, 2017

New images from Battlefront II showing Rey with a new laser sword that has perhaps built alone, and that we will see in Star Wars: The Last Jedi

As every true Star Wars fan knows, the construction of a lightsaber is considered a part of the final examination of an apprentice Padawan to become a Jedi Knight, is the second of three conclusive evidence, and is almost comparable to a sacred rite.

A fact now the time that Rey is in some way wrapped and protected by the Force and will probably become the new Padawan of Luke Skywalker, a clue, coming from the videogame Electronic Arts Star Wars: Battlefront II, seems to confirm this hypothesis.

The first images circulated, in fact, show Rey with a laser sword from the grip different from the one that hands it to Luke Skywalker in the final Star Wars: The Awakening of the Force.

The sword that Rey uses in Battlefront II is very similar to the one that Luke lost along with his hand in the duel with Darth Vader on the planet Bespin.

Rey then managed to build himself a new lightsaber that we see in Star Wars: The Last Jedi? It is very likely, especially in light of the fact that the sword was built by a Padawan must reflect that of his master as a sign of respect and trust.

This the people in the church the original thesis according to which the girl would have convinced Luke to teach her, as a Jedi, and teach her the ways of the Force.

However, given that the images disseminated of which we speak, which belong to a first version, still incomplete, of the game, it is possible that the piers elements will be changes in the final version, expected in the next months.
