Star Wars: the Awakening of The Force, the film's ending has been changed!
At the request of Rian Johnson, director of Episode VIII, the finale of Star Wars: The Awakening of the Force is changed
The end of Star Wars; The Awakening of the Force, was not supposed to be the one we all know.
To reveal this behind the scenes was Rian Johnson, director of the next Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which he got from Lucasfilm and J. J. Abrams in the editing of the final scenes of Episode VII, directed by Abrams.
Interviewed by Entertainment Weekly, Johnson has talked about this particular request:
I asked the great pleasure to start with R2-D2 along with Rey and let BB-8 with the Resistance. It was originally BB-8, who started with Rey, and this made sense in the story from a certain point of view. But then I asked J. J.: "Can you give me this pleasure, and swap the droids?"
This change was made before the release of Star Wars: The Awakening Force and the original idea to start with BB-8 in Rey has been so abandoned for good.
Decision Johnson has a why and guarantees the “continum logic” between Episode VII and Episode VIII.
In fact, as we have noticed in the teaser trailer de the Last of The Jedi, we see BB-8, beside his “master” Poe Dameron and also Luke Skywalker is in the company of his faithful R2-D2, a duo that has a very particular is also stressed by some of the steps seen The Awakening of the Force. Meet on Ahch-To Luke with Rey accompanied by BB-8, instead, that R2-D2 would not have had much sense.
Written and directed by Rian Johnson, the new film of the Star Wars saga is produced by Ram Bergman and Kathleen Kennedy, while J. J. Abrams, Jason McGatlin, and Tom Karnowski are the executive producers.
In the cast of the film will once again Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Lupita nyong'o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, and Gwendoline Christie.
The release in cinemas is expected on 15 December 2017.
