Spider-Man: Tom Holland and Kevin Feige talk about the break up with Sony
After days of speculation and campaigns on social media, the actor of Spider-Man, Tom Holland, and he said on the divide between Disney and Sony Pictures that brought his character out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And the actor seems to have accepted this new era for his hero.
Holland spoke with Entertainment Weekly about his future after Spider-Man: Far From Home, and has confirmed that it will continue to play Peter Parker for the foreseeable future:
“Basically, we shot five great films,” explained Holland. “They were an amazing five years... Who knows what the future holds? But all I know is that I will continue to interpret Spider-Man... The future of Spider-Man will be different, but it will be just as fantastic and amazing, and we will find new ways to make it even more beautiful.”
This is the first confirmation that Holland will continue to be Spider-Man on the big screen, at least until Sony decides to start over if you decide to (re)take that road. The studio has clarified that they have many different tools available to explore the world of the hero, and the previous two series of the film have clarified that the character can survive in a universe that is “limited”.
Holland has also addressed the question of the presentation, a panel of Walt Disney Studios for the new Pixar Onward during the D23 Expo:
“Listen, it's been a week crazy, but I want you to know, I am grateful from the bottom of my heart and I love you 3000,” said Holland to the wide public in the Lobby of the D23.

Meanwhile, Kevin Feige has always said to EW:
“I feel gratitude and joy for Spider-Man,” said Feige to Entertainment Weekly. “We have made five films within the MCU with Spider-Man: two independent films, and three with the Avengers. It was a dream that I never thought that could happen. It was never meant to last forever. We knew that there was a limited amount of time in which we would have been able to do this, and we told the story we wanted to tell, and I will always be grateful for that.”
