Spider-Man: Sony and Marvel no longer cooperate
The second Deadline is over the involvement of Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige in the film series of Spider-Man from Sony. The Marvel Studios helped usher in the latest reboot of the film franchise, with Tom Holland in the role of Peter Parker / Spider-Man. Reportedly, there are two other films in the future for Holland and director Jon Watts, but, unless something changes in the near future, Kevin Feige will not take the creative guidance of those movies as he did with the previous two films.
According to reports, there was therefore an impasse in the negotiations between the two companies in the ricontrattazione of the collaboration agreement that would have seen the Disney get a holding mid in the Spider-Man movie coming. This news comes after Spider-Man: Far From Home, the second film made with the Marvel Studios, became the film highest-grossing of Sony all the time. It is not clear what it means the departure of Feige for the movie in the works with Watts / Holland and their connections with the Cinematic Universe Marvel.
We have also said that there are other films in the works for Tom Holland. There are no details on what the film will deal with or who is driving the creative team. However, the report states that director Jon Watts will oversee the film with Holland. Thus Feige will probably not be the main producer and creative to none of the two films unless “things do not change between the companies.
