Sony DepthSense: here's how it works the 3D camera ToF Xperia XZ4
Sony Xperia XZ4 - the next top of the range of the japanese home - should be equipped with a triple rear camera equipped with the ToF sensor for 3D scanning of the surrounding environment. This is what has emerged from the recent rumor, but now we think Sony itself to strengthen this possibility, since it has officially presented the ToF sensor that we expect to find on the XZ4.
The announcement was accompanied by the publication of a video which shows some of the possible usage scenarios for this type of technology. Sony has been careful not to show any kind of the prototype, choosing to illustrate the potential of the sensor, using other devices of the competition, on which he then placed the screens in turn - presumably - in a second time (with questionable results in some points).
The sensor is called Sony DepthSense and, as the name suggests, allows to enrich the user experience thanks to its ability to measure the depth of the scene. This is possible thanks to the technology, and ToF (Time of Flight), which allows you to detect data is very accurate even at long distances. The sensor utilizes a receiver and a laser pulse to calculate the time at which this is reflected again at the source, in order to establish the distance between the device and the target (to take advantage of the speed of light as a constant).Camera at the top, and 4K video at 60fps with all the quality Apple?
