Amazon Prime Video announces that the drama series Sneaky Pete will return for second season Friday, March 9, 2018. The series First Original, co-produced with Sony Pictures Television Studios, was very much appreciated by the critics and tells the story of a man, Marius (Giovanni Ribisi, Avatar) that, once out of prison, he is persecuted by a gang of vicious gangsters who had robbed in the past. Without a place to escape, he assumes the identity of his cell-mate, Pete, and he reunites with his family. In the new season, and Marius is ready to start from scratch, but also in its new clothes, is unable to close with the past, this time to Pete. Coming into her life two thugs who, believing Pete, threaten to kill his family if not be able to recover the millions that the mother of Pete, Maggie (Jane Adams, Twin Peaks), he would have stolen their mysterious leader. Marius finds himself having to undertake a dangerous journey to find Maggie, to protect the family and maintain his cover. But all of this just to get rid of the two blackmailers and keep for themselves all the money.

During the series debut last year, Sneaky Pete was the second of the original series and the most watched on the day of the launch. Customers can see the first season on PrimeVideo.com waiting the arrival of the second season on the 9th of March.

“After the excellent reception of the first season from critics and our customers, we are very happy to launch a new season of Sneaky Pete,” says Sharon Tal Yguado, Head of Scripted Series, Amazon Studios. “Graham and his team have created a second season up really at stake for Marius and all the other characters involved.”

Sneaky Pete is created by Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) and David Shore (The Good Doctor), Cranston, Graham Yost (The Americans), James Degus (All The Way), Michael Dinner and Fred Golan (Justified) as executive producers. In the cast are the same Cranston, along with Marin Ireland (Side Effects) in the role of Julia Bowman, the winner of three Emmy Awards, Margo Martindale (The Americans) in the role of Audrey Bernhardt, Shane McRae Still Alice) in the role of Taylor Bowman, Libe Barer (Parenthood) in the role of Carly Bowman and Peter Gerety (Prime Suspect) in the Otto Bernhardt.
