Smartphone patents a smartphone with folding two-unit separable
Smartphones with bendable displays are now a reality (don't miss our preview of FlexPai!) and different manufacturers are trying to offer their own interpretation of this concept in different ways. Samsung has already showed its first prototype, however, a new patent seems to suggest that the house of Seoul is exploring a way completely different than what we have seen up to now.
Filed in June 2018, or at the WIPO, the KIPO, respectively, the World and the Korean Intellectual Property Office), the patent in question describes a smartphone that has two displays, housed in turn inside many smartphones. Thanks to the use of three magnets, in fact, it is possible to connect between them the two units - both with the battery and the processor are separated - to be able to use them as if they were a single device.
This allows access to a computing power higher than that offered by a smartphone only, since each unit can rely on its own SoC, and can then run two applications at the same time without these as they can affect the performance of the other. The Battery on the Phone less than 200?
