One of the features that has made the Zoom a solution so popular for video calling recently is the support for custom backgrounds. After you have implemented features similar to those found on the popular conference call service at the beginning of this month, Skype is now adding the same function for backgrounds.

As reported by Thurrot, Skype has started to implement a new version of its app for Mac, Windows, Linux, and the Web that adds support for custom backgrounds. According to the report, this function will be distributed to users this week.
