Several users reported cracks on the iPhone's camera X: it is the beginning of the room-the gate?
In the course of the last few months a growing number of iPhone owners X is “invading” the forum of Apple support (1, 2, 3, 4), and Reddit (1, 2, 3) to report cracks on the lens of the camera.
Users who are experiencing the problem have confirmed that Apple does not consent to the replacement of the devices still under warranty, but it was difficult to expect the opposite. In fact, speaking of cracks, the first thought that springs to mind is that smartphones have fallen to the ground (and we bet that is the same thought of the employees of the Apple Store that they analyze the different cases), but the users in question claim not to have ever dropped their iPhone X.
Some seem to attribute the cracks in the lens module photo to low temperatures, then an damage that occurs due to certain climatic conditions:
I bought an iPhone before Christmas, and I found a crack on the camera last night. The smartphone has been always used with a cover, and has never been dropped. I went to the Apple Store this morning and they told me that to repair you will need to pay $549.
Another user said:
Also my iPhone X has a crack on the camera. The smartphone has never dropped, never used without cover, and I live in Hawaii, so it is not even the fault of the cold climate. The smartphone has two months of life.
In some cases it is difficult to discover the true cause of problems like this. Users have confirmed that you have not ever dropped a smartphone, but the cracks may be caused by keys or coins come in contact with the device, for example, in a pocket or bag. Doubts however remain, considering the numerous reports of the same anomaly.
