Selena Gomez: “I am a victim of body shaming”
Selena Gomez has decided to open up for the first time on an issue that closely concerns: the be been the victim of body shaming.
The singer has been the protagonist of an interview conducted by Raquelle Stevens for the podcast Back Generation and has explained, having read the comments fierce on her weight during a period where his health was hanging by a thread:
“For the first time I personally experienced body shaming in a time when my weight was impaired by health problems. I have lupus, I suffer from kidney problems, and hypertension, so I can say that I fight with various health problems.”
To cause the variations of weight are medicines that Gomez should take daily:
“I will take medication for the rest of my life and it was in that period that I began to notice comments about my physical form. In reality, there is to say that this is my body: the weight varies according to my mood and it all depends very much on what happens in my life.”
In short, Selena Gomez is a girl like many others, suffering from a disease that the test weight changes, of course, but also a human being struggling with the effect of the yoyo.
“Those comments about my body, I have caused a mess for a while”.
