Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+: you go to the security patches quarterly
Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ will no longer receive security updates, Android, on a monthly basis: from this moment on will be distributed only to the patch quarterly. The news comes directly from the official Samsung website, which lists the frequency with which they released the update to its devices. You can find it in the SOURCE.
The last one received from the top of the range in 2017 and its Plus variant is one which brings with it the patch of April, and it seems that the next will not arrive before July. The move by Samsung is in line with what usually happens: once you have reached the third year of life, the house of Seoul continues to deliver the usual monthly updates to focus on update and more spaced in time, but that still allow its smartphone to keep up with security patches.
